Weekly cruises
These are offered mostly from April to October.
The cruises generally head for the Croatian ccoast, studded with innumerable islands and beautiful bays.
The port of departure is either the Marina Dorica in Ancona or the touristic port of Zara during Summer tourist season.
Check-in is Sunday at 3 pm, check-out Sunday at 12 noon.
The port of Zara is easily reachable by land, being about 300 km from Trieste, or by sea, either by ferry (Jadrolinija lines) or by catamaran.
The price is 600 euros per person for individual vessels.
Contractual conditions:
Included in the price: boat, skipper, water, gas, imbarcation tax, overnight stay at the Marina Dorica in Ancona.
Not included in the price: food, fuel and docking fees in case of overnight stays outside the Marina Dorica of Ancona.
Enrollment in the A.S.D. VELADAMARE is compulsory and included in the individual fare.
Payment terms: Bank transfer of 50% of the total amount at the time of booking with payment of the balance 30 days prior to boarding.
The down payment will be withheld in its entirety by the association in case of cancellations made within 20 days of departure; the down payment on cancellations advised earlier than 20 days prior to departure will be withheld by the association in the amount of 50%.
A reservation may be transferred to another member of the association pending prior approval by the acting skipper.
Any controversies will be dealt with in the spirit of good faith negotiation so as to enable an extra-judiciary agreement; in the event an agreement should not be reached, the court of Ancona shall be the legal forum of competence.
Suggested equipment:
A cap with sun visor, sunglasses, beach towel, bathing suit, jeans, cotton socks, a few cotton t-shirts, both a lightweight and a heavy sweatshirt, a pair of shoes with non-black rubber soles to be used exclusively on board, a pair of shower flip-flops, sleeping bag and/or sheet and pillow case, soft bags which can be folded (hard-shell baggage is prohibited).
Information on CROATIA:
- Language: Croatian, although Italian is fairly common along the coast.
- Documents: Italian citizens require a current ID card valid for travel abroad or a current passport.
- Currency: The kuna, equivalent to 13 eurocents.
- Climate: Hot and dry in summer with temperatures averaging 20-28°C.
- Local time: No difference with Italy (GMT + 1 hr)
- Telephone communications:
From fixed phones, the country code from Croatia to Italy is 0039 followed by the area code, including the initial 0, and then the local number.
From mobile phones with roaming you can call using Italian providers Tre, Wind, Vodaphone and Wind.
- Health care: We suggest underwriting a private insurance policy to cover any emergency situations including urgent air transport back home. We also recommend that Italian residents request form E111, which provides for free emergency medical treatment while abroad, from their local ASUR.
- The use and possession of illegal drugs is prohibited.
